A (often) wintry project came to a successful end in Werfen (Salzburg). After 60 years now, the operating permit of Eisreisen cable car, still the steepest ropeway in Austria, had to be renewed. This required, following a new drive and control system in 2011, the replacement of carriers and wire ropes and new and/or extensively modified support and station structures. Eventually the new and unconditional operating permit of Eisriesenwelt cable car, totally retrofitted by Steurer, was made out by supervisory authority BMVIT on May 11.
