Steurer's newest cableway according to directive 2006/42/EG, i.e. an installation only for the transport of goods and specifically designated persons (Werksverkehr), was passed on to district Wuppertal of the German Alpine Club (DAV) mid-August. The alpine shelter Barmer Hütte is located below of Mount Hochgall in East Tyrol (Austria), on a plateau close to the border to South Tyrol (Italy). The cableway's length ios 2.155 m, with top station situated at 2.591 m above sea level and bottom station at 1.995 m.
